Mary and I were blown away by last night's terrific performance by Burdette Parks as Benjamin Franklin in his "Benjamin Franklin, Printer, Etc." at the Avenue Theatre (see details in yesterday's post) Order your tickets today! Here's my question. Why has the City of Denver been so uncooperative in getting the word out about this? Does the Mayor fear the spirit of the play will undermine his efforts to get re-elected by fiat? If not, how about the Mayor joining in a celebration of Ben's 301st birthday, or the anniversary of Ben's death on April 17?
